This is an original Type 38 Visor Cap. The cap is incomplete. It is missing the leather chin strap and the chin strap buttons. There are several mothing along the exterior of the cap, see photos. On the interior of the cap, the lining and sweat band are still present. The liner has a couple of small tears, the Japanese Kanji markings are no longer present in the cap. The sweat band is still present, but it is deteriorating in several spots, the finish is worn off the sweat band in several spots.. It is showing wear from prior usage.
