Description: Up for sale is a neat Named/Identified Class A Officers Jacket made by Carey in Baltimore, Maryland. This jacket once belonged to Colonel Harold W. Mueller, a veteran of WW2, Korea and Vietnam. After being drafted in 1942, Col. Mueller as an enlistedman would serve in Iceland, England and France as a medical technician. After returning to the states he continued his service in the National Guard while using his G.I. Bill at the University of Nebraska, College of Medicine. Upon graduation he entered active service once again seeing wartime service in Korea and Vietnam. He served until being retired in 1977 having held many commands including 2nd Armored Division, 30th Medical Group, Commander of Hospitals at Bremerhaven, Germany and Ft.Polk. The jacket shows SSI of Iceland Base Command and U.S Army Europe. His ribbons include an ETO ribbon with one bronze battle star, American Campaign Ribbon, WW2 Victory Ribbon, National Defense Ribbon w/ 1OLC and a Army Good Conduct Ribbon. Collar brass is WW2/Korea era clutchback. Overall great condition with only one small hole on the front. It could use a good steam cleaning to get the wrinkles out.
