Description: A superb example of a World War One British Army Officer's Personal Map of the Lens-Arras Sector of the Western Front in France Dated 1915 In superb condition for its age and measuring approx 35" x 27" when opened up and 7" x 4.5" when folded, with a cloth reinforced backing, this is a superb survivor of the Battles on the Western Front With a scale of 1 inch to 1.58 miles and in colour, this handsome map covers Arras & Lens in the north-east, to Bapaume in the south-east and Auxi-Le Chateau to the west with Hesdin to the north-east. With just a couple of small splits along two of the folds that aren't instantly noticeable, (and some expected age-staining to the front), for now being 107 years, old this an amazing example of an Official War Office-issue WW-I Army Map.
