Description: Russian civil war/ White Movement , Cross/ Badge of the “ RUSSIAN RIFLE SQUAD” named after General RANGEL , screw back , St. George ribbon rosette The basis of the badge is a silver plated Maltese cross covered with back enamel, or without enamel. In the center of the cross is placed St. George on a horse slaying a dragon. Saint George is gilded. The dimensions of the badge are 40x40mm. The Russian rifle squad of General WRANGEL was created in Belgium in the early 1930s and was part of the Russian Combined Arms Military Unit. The personnel of the squad, in their free time from work and study, underwent military training, studied the regulations of the Red Army, with which they were preparing to fight. During its existence, the squad has trained more than 50 officers and 284 riflemen. The squad ceased to exist in 1940, after the German invasion of Belgium.
