Description: Item Description: YOGI BEAR METAL LUNCHBOX AND PLASTIC/GLASS THERMOS from Aladdin Industries 1961. This rare R-6 lunchkit features characters and scenes from the hit Hanna-Barbera TV cartoon series of the same name. Another Americana masterpiece by AL artistic director Elmer Lehnhardt (who invented the embossed panel featured on this box and the first year this new “deep-relief 3-D embossing” was introduced). This kit was released in the year Yogi broke out from the Huckleberry Hound Show and given his own show. Colorful scenes on the main panels with Yogi Bear, Boo-Boo Bear and Cindy Bear on a car ride and picnic in Jellystone Park – much to the displeasure of Ranger Smith. The rim panels are filled with a partial cartoon film reel of 9 scenes with Quick Draw McGraw – with 13 portraits of the cartoon characters from the show on the top rim panel.
