Description: Vintage Stromberg Carlson Desk Phone. Customized intercom and subset. This telephone started out as a Stromberg Carlson Interphone, it was changed into an intercom at some point. It was gutted when I got it and it was hooked up to a connection box with a ragged multi line cord. I have turned the connection box into a subset by adding a Western Electric network and ringer. This setup will work on any regular home phone line. I added a new cloth covered modular line cord so it can be plugged in to any regular phone outlet. The intercom selector switch is now set up as a ringer on/off switch, the vertical position as pictured is ringer on, any other position will be ringer off. The back of the phone was damaged to allow the large cord that was on it to fit. See the last 3 pictures. The previous owner added a piece to the base that covers part of the hole. Since it is on the back it does not attract attention. The base still has the original felt cover which is in good shape. I added rubber feet to the connection box so it can be placed on a desk or table with the phone. This phone will work on any regular phone line and will work on most VOIP or internet connections.
