Description: I found this pencil when i was treasure hunting. A little research led me to Story & Clark is a Piano and Organ Company out of Chicago. 1888- 1991. So this Mechanical Pencil is an advertising give away from them. i think it's bakelite. not sure. You might know more about it than me. but if it's bakelite, those were made 1920 to 1940. So, i stuck a lead in it and it works, it goes in and out. but my lead was too thin and it fell out. You can figure that out. it measures 5 1/4" long. Teeth marks on the black near the tip, and gold worn off to silver on the tip, middle and part of the pocket clip. but you can see where it used to be gold plated. i think it's cool. oh, Hampton L. Story and Melville Clark.
