Description: 1950's vintage copy of Sorry! boardgame by Parker Brothers. The original box states 1958, the board states 1950. From Wikipedia- "Sorry! is a board game that is based on the ancient Indian cross and circle game Pachisi. Players move their three or four pieces around the board, attempting to get all of their pieces "home" before any other player. Originally manufactured by W.H. Storey & Co in England and now by Hasbro. (Sorry was adopted by Parker Brothers in 1934). Sorry! is marketed for two to four players, ages 6 and up. The game title comes from the many ways in which a player can negate the progress of another, while issuing an apologetic "Sorry!" Contents include 45 cards, for each of the denominations" 2,3,4,5,7,8,10,11,12 and for Sorry cards. There are five number one cards. An additional one card was added as an option for quicker play. This older versions of Sorry! contain a colored "diamond space" directly one space back from each start square; a pawn of the diamond's color may not move forward over this square. Instead, a pawn of that color must diverge from the outer space square towards their "Home". The diamond space and corresponding rule were removed from subsequent editions."Board and cards in very good condition. One yellow pawn is missing. Original box is torn and bumped with tape and tape residue. Original rules are clean and neat.
