Description: This auction is for a fabulous vintage Roseville Art Pottery jardiniere in the very desirable dahlrose pattern, made in approximately 1928. This jardiniere has a squat form with raised top lip, featuring six embossed blossoms and foliage along the upper portion of the planter. The soft cocoa background has a pebbled texture, with flowers that are a soft yellow with cocoa brown centers. The colors are soft and earthy, the mold is crisp and the glaze was beautifully applied. It is signed with the early orange crayon mark 209. It stands 4.5 inches and measures 5.75 inches across the handles, with an overall width of about 6.5 inches. This piece is in good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, stains, fading, or repairs. The bottom shows some light crazing, but it does not extend to the exterior painted area of the piece.
