Description: Offering this antique or vintage, rare Seguso lantern-style caged glass pendant light fixture. Top opens with two wing nuts; single light inside. Mouth-blown opalescent glass with hand-forged natural brass metal cage and hardware. Made in Murano, Italy sometime between 1930-1950. All original parts - please view photos of early S-hook chain and ceiling medallion. Glass and metal in sensational, original condition with expected signs of age. Glass is undamaged - no cracks or chips. Some patina and a bit of rust on metal cage but cages are in great condition. Some white paint on edges of ceiling medallion likely from ceiling paint. The lamp is currently electrified with original, old wiring; wiring is dry and needs to be replaced. Original ceramic socket can be reused. Rewiring can easily be done by new owner or by any electrician or local lighting repair store. Most single socket lamps cost around $16 to $20 for full rewiring. Each lamp is different, and the cost may differ in your area. Dimensions: Light pendant: 12.5” long x 9” wide Chain: Chain is comprised of two (original) large brass “S” hooks, each approximately 4.5” long for a total hanging length of 9”.
