Vintage HO Scale AHM / Rivarossi Santa Fe Switcher Diesel Locomotive

Description: Vintage HO Scale AHM / Rivarossi Santa Fe Switcher Diesel Locomotive - Excellent Tested Recently, I acquired a small collection of locomotives, tracks and parts from another collector. As I sifted through the collection for the pieces I wanted for my collection: Steam Locomotives, I found that he included a number of various diesel locomotives in various states of condition. Due to my lack of knowledge regarding diesel locomotives, I decided to inspect them and sell them to those whose interest are more centered on the more modern diesel-style locomotives. What are you getting?... I don't claim to be an expert on these locomotives, so much of my information has been found online, either from other train sites, or through searches of similar eBay offerings. You're bidding on a Vintage HO Scale Santa Fe Diesel Switcher 0-4-0. It shows as Made in Yugoslavia. Upon inspection, I found this Switcher to be in really good condition. Despite having some dirt and dust from age and probably storage, after cleaning it up and removing the dirt, it revealed a clean, undamaged locomotive that was surprisingly fast. As you can see from the included video (see above) when powered, this Switcher takes off around the track! The railings along the outside appear to be undamaged and completely intact. The hook and horn couplers on the front and rear are both intact. The body has no scratches or scars, no cracks, nothing to indicate it was damaged. The clear plastic inserts in the windows are all present. Besides cleaning off the dirt and dust, the only other thing I had to do was to buff the axles to remove buildup on the wheels to improve contact with the tracks. Once that was done...it was ready to go. Searches online have found this Switcher to either be from Bachmann or AHM / Rivarossi. Inspection of the frame and undercarriage did not reveal any markings besides the 'Made in Yugoslavia' tag, which leads me to believe it is likely a AHM / Rivarossi design, since they had many model trains made in Yugoslavia, while Bachmann primarily relies on shipments from Hong Kong / China. I did not add any lubricant to the gears, since I am not as familiar with diesel locomotives as I am steam locomotive designs, so the winning bidder will probably want to do this when they receive it...although given the excellent response on the track already, it may not require it.
