Description: Very nice piece of Fiesta Ware / Fiestaware. This is the turquoise cake plate. It is essentially a 11-inch plate with the addition of art deco handles on two sides, making it 12 inches. It's a solid 3 pounds. I'll be the first to admit I don't know a lot about Fiesta Ware. The maker's mark on the back is incised and says, "H.L.C. / fiesta / U.S.A.," which I assume stands for Homer Laughlin Company. There is an "F" on the back, too. Hopefully you know more than I do and can tell how old this item is. This cake plate / serving platter is in excellent vintage used condition. Each piece of Fiesta Ware is unique and this one is no different -- there are variations in the glaze coverage and there is a tiny dimple near the center ring where the glaze has flaked off.
