Description: Vintage Bond Bread Collectible Miniature Bicycle Plates. Bond Bread was the trade name of General Baking Co., incorporated in 1911 in NY as an amalgamation of 19 former businesses. By 1930 it owned 50 plants serving 18 states. I still remember the wonderful smells that filled the air in Hartford, CT where Bond Bread was produced. Later it had competition from Wonder Bread, and into the 60s-70s, grocery stores were beginning to bake their own bread. Wonderful history you can find online and also be the owner of these advertising plates. Sweet if you had a bakery or spot at home to display them. Enjoy! Measurements are 1 3/4" x 4". Look as though have never been used, but staining through the years that got on them. Check out photos.
