Description: Vintage Dark Wood African Mask w/ Slit Eyes Woven Hooded Headpiece Decorated with Numerous Cowrie Shells and Blue and White Beads, Beard Metal panels on back with design 12"H x 8"W x 9"D Style appears to be from the Congo, perhaps the Kuba People SCARCE Provenance not available. Condition as seen. From online research I believe this to be from the Congo, possibly the Kuba people. Sewing on one side has come loose a few stitches where hood attaches to mask face. Very tightly woven material, natural beard.
