Vintage 1930s Ideal SHIRLEY TEMPLE Doll 20" Composition Orig Wig~Smocked Dress

Description: Vintage 1930s all composition SHIRLEY TEMPLE doll. Clear IDEAL marks on the back of her head and shoulders. Jointed limbs, sleep eyes, open mouth with teeth. Her homemade smocked dress is one of the nicest I've seen~wait till you see it! 20" long. She may have been reglazed or recoated (?) at some time. I see a few faint cracks that have been filled in. The upper part of her face is a little darker and the lower part a little lighter. Maybe the coating they used darkened or yellowed over time~mostly noticed on her right cheek. Her lips have a faint grey outline and the lashes look repainted. Not sure if the body was also reglazed. There are small glaze crazing lines on the body and face. 1 leg has a spot of missing glaze. Fingers are not chipped. Wig doesn't feel greasy. Eyes open and close with ease. Eyes are crackled. I have not added oil to clear them up. Body is very clean!! The dress is exceptional! Also wearing cotton slip with crocheted lace and matching panties. Socks are stretched out and 1 shoe is missing the cardboard bottom. Overall, Shirley is in good shape! Stringing is tight. She's very clean and ready to display! Non smoking home.
