Description: This listing is for a pair of Vic Firth American Custom 3SS drumsticks in New Condition. The listed drumsticks are considered to be New Old Stock as each pair are unused and are no longer being manufactured by Vic Firth. The sticks have a natural finish and are the model with the barrel shaped wooden tips. The sticks have an estimated length of 15.5” and are considered to be the “Short” version of the 3S model. The sticks have the same .730” diameter as the 3S model making it one of the thicker sticks ever produced (ideal drumstick for marching band). Even with the greater thickness, each stick only weighs about 2.55 ounces, a little less than the Vic Firth 3S which weigh 2.70 ounces per stick with 3/4” more length than the 3SS model. This stick is ideal for younger and smaller students, who need to play with power, but can use the shorter stick to their playing advantage. The listed sticks are the reduction of older inventory that had been stored and somewhat forgotten until recently. Some of the sticks may show minor blemishes due to the storage.
