VERY RARE Counterpoint SA-20 Amplifier

Description: The SA-20 is one of the best examples of how a well executed tube/solid state hybrid power amp can sound this good. At 8 ohms, the SA-20 is good for 220W and 420W in 4 ohms. When switched to operate as a monoblocks (internally), the power rating explodes to 600W per channel! That is an amazing amount of power for something that costs this little and doesn’t pack the associated weight of a 600W amplifier. Sonically, it exhibits the solid tight grunt of a solid state amp but tinged with a bit of tube warmth. Neither overpowers the other but instead found a nice balance that showed through the music.
