Description: This exceptional sterling piece was patented in January 1944. The patent was issued to Adolph Katz. It is also shown in the book Collecting Costume Jewelry 202 by Julia C. Carroll on page 53. The hefty bow is stylized with curling ends. A large glass stone [emerald cut] sits at the center. It is held in place with prongs and the setting is open underneath it on the reverse. The hallmark appears on the reverse. Condition: Excellent vintage. Light surface scratches noted on the reverse from use and age. This piece has not been polished. Vermeil is in great condition! Measurements: 2 1/4" long and wide.
