USMC KA-BAR 7" Blade Combat Fighting Utility Bowie Knife, Leather Sheath

Description: USMC Marines 7" Blade KA-BAR Combat Fighting Utility Bowie Knife & Leather Sheath Manufacturer:KA-BAR Model:7" Fighting Knife Condition:Very Good Blade Length: 7" US Marine Corps. combat fighting utility knife and sheath. This was made as a fighting weapon especially for the U.S. Marines and marked on the side of the blade "U.S.M.C.". These have a leather washer handle with a 7" blued bowie knife type blade. It is basically the same as the U.S. Navy Mark 2 knife. Overall, this fighting knife is in Very Good condition. The pommel and guard are securely attached to the tang. They do not wiggle. There are light handling marks and the metal has turned to a patina color. The leather O-rings are securely attached with some light scuffs and compressions, but no notable wear. The spine has a few very light impact marks. The fullers and sides have light handling marks and finish loss along the leading edges. The blade edge has no nicks or dings. It appears to have been lightly sharpened at some point, but not very aggressively. The tip is intact and comes to a sharp straight point.. The left ricasso is marked "KA-BAR / OLEAN N.Y." and the right side ricasso is marked "USMC". The leather sheath is in Very Good Plus - Fine condition. The belt loop is functional and sewn tightly. The retaining strap and snap are both functional. There are no rips or tears in the body, the stitching is sewn tightly, the metal staples are securely fastened and the coloring is mostly intact with light scuffs. The sheath is marked with an embossed "KA-BAR" over the USMC EGA logo (Eagle, Globe & Anchor) and "USMC". As with all used items, a light cleaning may be necessary to meet your standards.
