Description: The Big 3 Self-Titled EX/EX US 1963 FM Records - FMLP 307 The Big 3 were from New York playing all the coffee houses in Greenwich Village. The band starred Tim Rose, who went on to release several albums and James Hendricks, who backed several famous musicians with his guitar pickin' and banjo. The most famous in the band was Cass Elliot who became a superstar with The Mamas and Papas. 3 albums were recorded.This was their first album.Musically, a folk LP with guitar and vocal harmonies along the lines of The Weavers, The Kingston Trio and Peter Paul and Mary. You can hear the strong voice of Cass even in her early years. She was destined to become famous. When the band was done Cass and James formed The Mugwumps with Denny Doherty, John Sabastian and Zal Yanovsky.Cover has small cutout hole. Generic inner sleeve.Plays pretty clean for a 60-year old record. The small FM record label (shown here) with the orange and red checkerboard may have been the inspiration for the Roulette record label.
