Description: Description This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home.It is made of oak and is painted.There is a shaped spoon carved back splash above the upper shelf.The upper serpentine shelf is supported by turned columns.Between the columns is an oval beveled mirror framed in beaded molding. The lower shelf is supported by 2 corbels with beaded moldings, the columns sit on these corbels.There are turned fluted columns below the corbels.The breast has great applied carvings. It measures 48 inches wide, 80 tall, and is 11.5 inches deep.The firebox opening is 35.5 inches wide by 35.75 tall.Overall, it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. Some of the beaded moldings are missing. The shelf was meant to extend past the corbels but are missing on both sides. The left side mounting board is broken and missing a part. Please look at the pictures carefully.
