Description: This week I'm offering a number of old non-sport cards from various vintage sets. Around 1922, Strollers Cigarettes issued several closely related sets of cards picturing movie stars. The T85 designation consists of a set of 220 cards. #1-100 show an actor or actress with the card number and the performer's name in the caption. A short biography is on the back. #101-200 were issued on glossier stock and also include information in the caption about the film studio the actor is associated with. The last 20 cards feature anonymous pictures of Mack Sennett bathing beauties, a popular series of short comedies at the time. All in all, this set gives the collector a comprehensive look at the American film industry in the early Twenties. Here I have a great starter lot of 21 assorted (light duplication) cards from this set, including eight from the first series and 13 from the second. The cards vary in condition from poor (creases, missing pieces, and back damage) to very good. See scans for condition. This is a good start on the set!
