It is a kinda complicated process. The only other item that comes with the sale besides the drum, is a USB MIDI Cord, that you will have to plug into your computer or preferably an Apple Laptop, and the other end plugs into the drum itself. (I've noticed this drum works better and easier on an Apple Laptop over PC. Just my Opinion.) And then you can download the software and play. You'll see exactly on the drum on the screen, where you're hitting the drum. It's awesome. And be able to change the drum from a snare, to a Tom, to something out of this world. Lol!
