The detailed quality workmanship demonstrated in the colorful airbrushing of the mohair and around the black bead eyes combined with the truly delightful design of the artist airbrushed felt fan and the metal feet and legs makes Tucky a real standout in the Steiff world. What a fun little creation! Best of all though this wonderful guy is in a very excellent condition without any flaws or damages to report. Fortunately he has retained ALL of his very valuable identifications (old raised thin script button, and legible, full crisp name chest tag). and legible stock flag #1310,00. Tucky was only produced in two sizes (10cm and 14cm) which is one of the factors responsible for his fairly rare status. This is the smallest 10 cm one. Additionally thisTucky's short production period (1961 only), fabulous condition, and his immense popularity are also contributory factors. It is easy to understand why this particular "plucky" fellow is so hard to find and even more difficult to acquire. Tucky would be fabulous as a star in your holiday decorations.
