Cool historical space exploration find! A bold and classic style celebrating and ultimately memorializing the 20th Anniversary of the NASA Space Shuttle program. Embroidered with the acronym SSME (Space Shuttle Main Engine), or the re-usable rocket used to launch the shuttle into space! Above SSME there is a commemorative patch, and one sleeve has a patch commemorating the 100th Space Shuttle Mission. This jacket is made of heavy leather and lined with quilted nylon and wool. Sadly, 2001 was also the year of the Columbia explosion that ended the lives of 7 astronauts. This jacket has plenty of historical earmarks! Pit to pit 24 inches, collar to hem 25 inches.
