I had not seen this book until a ran into the authors who had copies at a shell show. It is a very nice, illustrated guide with many photo illustrations of the fossil shells found in Florida that lived during the Pliocene to the Pleistocene ages. They also include some other types of fossils that are found along with the shells. It is a very nicely done guide and I think that it is a book that should open the eyes to many of us who only know and collect the recent species of shells that there were a "whole lot of other worlds out there" in the past. As well as being just an identification guide there is a load of information between these covers about the background, collecting areas and methods, and a lot more as well.
