Description: This is a beautiful December 1939 playbill from the Post-Broadway engagement of the COLE PORTER musical comedy "LEAVE IT TO ME!" at the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago, Illinois. (The production opened November 9th, 1938 at the Imperial Theatre in New York City and ran for 291 performances before going on the road.) ..... The musical marked the Broadway debuts of two entertainment legends: MARY MARTIN and GENE KELLY (though neither actor appeared in the Post-Broadway tour). Among the ads is a full page for the Colony Club (third scanned image) where SOPHIE TUCKER was moonlighting after the show. Also includes a review by Ashton Stevens clipped from an unidentified Chicago newspaper ..... CONDITION: With the exception of light edge wear, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian.
