Description: For sale here is a Sheaffer Targa fountain pen from about 1977-79 with 14 Kt. 585 nib. When I first got this I thought it was New-Old-Stock, as there is no discernible wear or mars to the pen or the nib, though it clearly had been filled and used at least once. Targas came in every different configuration one can think of, and this one is clearly in the middle range, with the 585 gold nib and gold-filled clip, but little else as adornment. It is equipped with a new Sheaffer converter, so it can be filled from a bottle or used with cartridges. As with all embedded Triumph nibs, it is smooth as silk but quite rigid. It appears to be made of metal, in a dull black matte finish. It will be packed and shipped free in the USA.
