Having the characters, "府政本日" (Japan) and "年一十二和昭" Showa year 21 (1946) with a clear. This coin has a rare motif of a flying Phoenix among the clouds. 50 Sen value is shown in front of various symbols including a gear cog, tools, bundles of wheat and rice all flanked by fish. These were only minted and circulated for one year. Overall, this coin is in fine condition with minimal wear, a very clear strike and having all original patina. Measures 15/16" in diameter (24mm).
