Description: Schrade USA full size lockback knife with stainless steel blade, nickel silver liners, bolsters and pins and custom smooth white Delrin covers with custom scrimshaw artwork - on both sides - made exclusively for the Suffolk County (New York) Police Department. This special order of knives were serialized and this one is number 36. The knife has never been used or carried and is still in like-new condition. The black leather belt sheath is original to the knife and is also unused / in brand new condition. The sheath was customized too and on the flap it has been embossed with "S.C.P." for Suffolk County Police. It's unlikely an expensive Special Factory Order like this would have been available to the general public. It's more likely these were used by the Department as presentation knives that were given to officers to commemorate an occasion or anniversary.
