Description: This is an antique Gill Glass or Jugendstil (?) large art nouveau decorated schoolhouse or industrial style pendent light fixture with its original 15 inch diameter cased milk glass globe. The globe was removed by an architectural salvage company from a 1902 building being torn down. Completed and made into a fully working pendant fixture by adding a new solid brass fitter, porcelain socket, brass plated steel canopy and hanging chain. The globe is spectacular because of its size and detailed fluting and applied designs. There are several small rim chips under the fitter that do not show or affect the beauty of the light. They are too small to photograph. From the ceiling to the bottom of the globe measures 32 inches. The globe at the widest is 15 inches in diameter. The globe is 12 inches tall. It is recommended that a licensed electrician check and install any fixture to the local code requirements.
