Paint chips, flakes, with an old large chunky chip to one corner on one~! Solid joinery though often these early ones have loosened so a bit of a watering and the dry wood swells to tighten. Plenty of scuffs and paint chips and craquelure to perfect their look. Nice narrow tall architectural cottage shutters with a lot of uses and in a very hard size to find ~!
