Description: A sealed unopened 10 disk box of Roland Quick Disks. Original shrink wrap still intact (see photos). Brand New Quick Disk QD 2.8" for vintage gear. For vintage keyboards and samplers. The Quick Disk (QD) was a media storage disk system made by Roland Corporation as an alternative to the 5 1/4 inch floppy disk which was the standard at that time. The Quick Disk was used on some older Roland products such as the S-10, S-220, MKS-100, MT-100 and PR-100. Quick Disks were also used on some brands of "smart" typewriters such as the Smith-Corona. None of these other companies have any remaining parts or replacement drives. Smith-Corona was the last known source for Quick Disk drives and parts. At this time, Smith-Corona is no longer in business and their last remaining left-over parts were sold off many years ago.
