Description: Up for sale is an original TTsMKK uniform, introduced in 1944, featuring a unique Soviet three-color disruptive camouflage known as tritsvetnyi makirovochnyi kamuflirovannyi kostium. This camouflage was reportedly designed to counteract German infrared night vision technology that emerged in early 1944. The overlapping pattern of dark green and foliage green on a yellow-tan base incorporates a “stair step” design, a feature that would define Soviet camo for years. This uniform style, originally issued in the MKK/MK pattern, was typically reserved for reconnaissance, sniper, and border units during WWII and into the 1950s. The pattern was later exported to Albania, where it served with elite units until the 1990s, and modern variations continue to be used by Russian forces in the 2000s. Albania’s first documented camouflage uniform was this original Soviet M1944 TTsMKK tricolor, with use traced back to at least 1951. Locally produced versions included the same stair-step pattern, though with slight color variations due to production inconsistencies. This pattern is believed to have remained in use with Albanian engineer/sapper units well into the 1990s. Please note: The buttons do have some rust, and it is missing one button near the butt flap.
