Description: RARE Belleek Standing Fish Spill Ivory Vase 1st Green Mark 1946-55 "B" Damaged Fish spill vase by Belleek, made in Ireland. Measures just about 7 1/8 inches tall. Luster finish. Marked with the Belleek 4th mark (1st green) mark that dates this to 1946-1955. The original piece was issued in the 1890's. VERY hard to find both the early and later pieces. Flaws:Damage - the fish's dorsel fin is chipped off at the tip (sorry, the chip is missing). Have shown a close-up image of the missing fin.Manufacturing Flaws - There are 2 rough areas around the mouth, at the upper and lower lip - have put a bit of tan tape next to each. They show as pale brown spots. Also, there is a seam across where one dorsal fin was attached to the fish. It doesn't go through to the vase and is only on one side. Maybe was a problem with these?, as it also partially shows on one side of the second piece being listed. Offering a second piece also with more severe flaws. Happy to combine if still available.
