Description: Presented is a wonderful antique 10 karat yellow gold YMCA medal, with ribbon and clasp, circa 1905. The medal itself is quite detailed and well made, with YMCA in flowing lettering at the top above a wreath and triangle symbol. The medal is strung on a black ribbon, with a gold filled lobster claw clasp at the top. This piece is in excellent condition. The details of the medal are nice and crisp. The ribbon is clean and in good shape. The clasp at the top is working well. The back of the medal is stamped 10k, nitric acid tested and guaranteed. Above that are the marks INTL-COM, pat'd Sept 12, 1905, and YMCA. The total length is about 6 5/8 inches, including the ribbon. The medal itself is about 1 1/8 inches in diameter. The total weight for the piece is 10.4 grams. We have weighed the medal itself, which is solid gold, and it weighs 6 grams. So over half the weight of the piece is solid gold. -jm Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
