I purchased this cable new, but it it was not compatible with my network switch or SFP28 network cards. I incorrectly assumed that it would work with my HPE Switch (which has 4 SFP+ 10Gb ports) and my Intel SFP28 network cards. It turns out that this cable is not backward-compatible with my setup. These types of cables are extremely picky with regards to compatibility, so please ensure that your system will work with this cable prior to purchasing - I am not responsible if you haven't done your due diligence.
