Object: This auction is for a bright and crisp print of an original cartoon composition of the cutest, happiest, most relieved-to-be-free anthropomorphic animals by California artist, Robert Marble. Semi-glossy heavy-stock print paper enhances the colors and details. This print is mounted on heavy board and double matted in black with a red inner accent. Item is clean and flat and has been protected in a frame under glass. Please note: The original Elsa L. frame with glass is not included but is available in our other current auctions. Artist/Studio: Robert Marble (1946- ), Newport Beach, California, USA. Robert Marble is a self-taught artist. For over 45 years, from his southern California home studio, he has been creating positive, humorous everyday cartoon situations that we can all relate to. A little redbird, "Ricochet Redfeather," appears in every composition as his trademark. His works have been available at festivals, exhibits and private showings as drawings, acrylic paintings, giclee and litho prints, and are displayed nationally and internationally in corporate and private collections. Print and mat have been protected under glass in a frame (not included) possibly since originally printed. Image is crisp and bright; mat boards are clean. Upon very close inspection there is some slight sun fading of the black mat where the original frame didn't cover, and some very slight surface rubbing, but this is hard to detect. The mat covers penciled matting instructions on the right side that are actually part of the print. Please see photos. Most of our items are estate finds and are in good to excellent used condition.
