Pioneer Elite LD-S2 Laserdisc Player + MSB AC-3 Audio + Yamaha APD-1 + Manual

Description: This Pioneer LD-S2 (serial number LG3903553T) is in really nice cosmetic condition for a 33 year-old piece of equipment. There are some light scratches in the finish, but overall I'd say it's been well cared for over the years! It's difficult to photograph this unit due to the glossy finish, but rest assured that there are no nasty surprised to be found. The unit appears to be in good working condition. I took a picture of it playing a disc from the Beatles Anthology box set. The tray opened a little slow at first, but moved faster after opening it a few times. I don't have an AV receiver and the TV in my shop doesn't have an optical input, so I'm unable to test the AC-3 audio upgrade and Yamaha APD-1. However, the player sounded OK using the standard RCA outputs. Based on the notes provided by the previous owner (shown in the picture), apparently you only get the left (white) audio out when doing it like this. Use that optical output and you should be good to go. The remote control is in good shape with no corrosion in the battery compartment. I didn't test every button and function, but on/off, play, chapter skip, and jog mode are all working fine. I'd bet the rest of the remote works as well.
