Description: This is an early 60's vintage American Made Silvertone Twin Twelve Reverberation Tube combo amp. I got this at an estate sale,.. and I bought it to my tube amp repair tech , Joe, At 24 Hour Stereo in Reading Ma. He put $530 worth of work into it, including new resistors, caps, soldering, tubes, and other work. It now sounds amazing. These amps are popular for their brilliant smooth clean sound, as well as their organic high volume break up. Jack White is a big fan of the vintage Silvertone. This has the original Jensen 12" speakers. certainly Power tubes are Fender 6l6. Two of them are Groove Tubes / Fender,.. and two are Fender. They are not a matched quartet, but they sound great together. Preamp tubes are all old school American tubes. No Chinese tubes in this amp. Tolex has a couple small dings, .. but this is in nicer shape than most of the Silvertone amps I have seen. Tremelo and reverb sound subtle ans sweet. All dials , lights, switches, and inputs work without issue. Joe told me he spent a 40 hour week making this amp as glorious as it is. He has maintained my fleet of Marshall, Mesa and Fender for many years,... and he certainly performed his magic on this one. This is a great amp for those who crave authentic vintage tube tone.
