Pair Antique Majolica European Victorian Two Handle Floral Vases, 5.5" tall

Description: Matched Pair Antique Majolica European Victorian Floral Vases w Double Scroll Handles, 5.5" tall Here is a pretty matched pair of antique majolica vases. The vases have double scrolling handles and impressed floral panels on both front and back. The front floral panels are nicely paint detailed. As was common, these have no maker marks other than a "743" mold mark on the base. Majolica of this type was produced in the late 1800's in both England and the United States. Research indicates that this pretty pair is likely European from Germany, Italy, or France. I have seen very similar pieces attributed to Karlsruhe, Germany, but I cannot confirm that. The vases measures about 5.5" in height. The predominant color is a deep rose with multicolor floral panels on the fronts. These are in nice antique condition with no cracks. One does have a small chip on the rim near the handle. Due to the clay and glaze colors, the chip is not very noticeable. There are some glaze skips and maker glitches as is common on pieces of this age and type. Please see the photos to judge the quality and condition of this pair.
