Description: This is an ORIGINAL UNISSUED WW I KHAKI 11 POCKET GRENADE VEST DATED 1918. It is made of a KHAKI canvas material. On the front there are 2 rows of pockets with brass snap closure. The top row has 6 pockets and the bottom row has 5 pockets. On the top there is a 2 inch wide adjustable shoulder strap used to carry the vest. (The 4 side straps are still tied with the original white wrappings). On each side there are 2 - 1 inch wide canvas straps (One towards the top and 1 towards the bottom) used to wrap around your waist and to secure the vest to help keep it in place. On the back it is stamped with the following identification : MM & CO., MAY 1918, INSPECTED JOHN E WRIGHT Since this is a Buy It Now some of the printing may look different than pictured The Khaki 11 Pocket Grenade Vest Dated 1918 is in mint condition
