Besides a few small imperfections in the housing from the molding process at the factory, one of the hinges is slightly defective as it does not allow the GBA to fully close, leaving a tiny gap. Hinges do work when opening as you can here them click into place when it is opened. The IPS LCD mod has an on-screen display menu to change settings, such as brightness, color mode, pixel effects, etc. You can simply hold the brightness switch to bring up the menu. There is also a touch sensor located underneath the screen at the bottom edge in the middle. Simply press the screen in that spot to change the brightness or hold your finger on it to bring up the OSD.Game Boy Advance SP console motherboard is 100% authentic.
