Description: Estate Find Nineteenth CenturyDoll Trunk/Fainting Couch/BedWe offer an antique doll bed in the shape of a fainting couch which also serves as a doll trunk. Constructed with a maroon colored oil cloth over a wood body, the lid is upholstered with square tufting over stuffing. Old brass tacks outline the edges of the trunk. The interior is lined with a faded rose colored satin cloth. There once was a strap on the interior that kept the lid from from fully opening.The trunk/fainting couch weighs 12 pounds 3 ounces and measures 25 1/2" in length, 10" in depth and 8" and 10" in height at the opposing ends. The base measures 24 1/4" by 8 3/4". As seen in the photographs, the doll trunk/fainting couch is in gently used antique condition showing wear appropriate with age and use.
