Description: Nice Heavy Antique 1800's Wallace Buffalo Sleigh Carriage Buggy Lap Blanket. Amazing label reads: " Wallace - Montana - Heavy Lined with Rubber Drill - Wind, Water, Moth Proof - Hugh Wallace Co. - Detroit Michigan, Has a Buffalo in center." Has 2 loops on one side that say Wallace. Felt edge is mostly is intact - edge is approx: 1 1/4" wide. Blanket has no holes that I can see. It is black in color, thick and heavy and has been stored away for a long time! Before the turn of the Century, these would have been used in Buggies, Sleighs, and Carriages, later on they were used in the horseless buggies called cars and pickups. Item is in used condition. Needs cleaning, there is some wear in a few spots and felt edge is torn a little in one spot needs sewn. This old blanket is in good shape for it's age! Measures approx. 56" x 60" including felt edge. Selling as is/as found at estate sale!! Please view photos for condition and what is included carefully, color is black.
