Description: Museum Antique REMBRANDT Jester Bridge Floor Lamp 7084 12Pcs Marble 4 Pair Birds We are extremely pleased to be able to offer this Rare Museum Quality Antique REMBRANDT Bridge Floor Lamp R7084 with a total of 12 Pieces of Marble/Onyx & the Hammered Court Jester on the bridge arm. Also unusual to this Rembrandt is the unique base, which displays four pair of Cast Iron California Partridges facing each other as love birds would do. The heavy 9.5" square base of the lamp has a round piece of 8" diameter marble & under this cast base it is hallmarked "REMBRANDT PAT. APP. FOR R7084". There are 11 marble/onyx accents/knobs/saucers in between the brass spacers accenting up the base stem of this bridge lamp to the twist on socket 2-tier Art Deco shade, which compliments the rest of this remarkable lamp (the shade could easily be replaced with a glass shade, but we left everything original as this lamp came into our possession. The marble/onyx spacers vary in diameter up to 3" & the old Art Deco shade measures 12" in diameter & stands 7" high. The former owners had this lamp re-wired but it still has the original socket, so it is ready to go & works perfectly. Lamp stands 59" tall & comes with a nice long cord that measures 8.5 feet. Lamp width with the shade is 19" and total depth with the shade is 12". This gem is not perfect, but to me it is about as close as it can get....totally acceptable with the minor marble chips on the base, & normal wear and a little paint to the inside of the parchment/pressed paper? shade. It is such a pleasure to actually see this in person. This will be shipped in 2 separate boxes to achieve a more economical shipping rate and to insure a safer journey for both lamp and shade. The couple we purchased this lamp from had another Rembrandt floor lamp, which was similar in design and had one digit number difference hallmarked at R7085. We have now sold that floor lamp to Florida. These are the only two lamps we have ever seen like this and we have been in the antique business for over 57 years now.
