Mr Christmas "Animated Holiday Symphonium" Music Box, Ballroom, See Description

Description: This charming Mr. Christmas "Animated Holiday Symphonium" Music Box is a must-have for your Christmas Decor! This Music Box features a Ballroom Scene with dancers that turn and dance to the music played on the polyphon music disc (see below regarding operation). This most likely was made in 2000 but I am not sure. This music box is a beautiful brownish mahogany color, measures about about 12" wide x 9" deep x 8.75" tall, and the appearance is good to very good (subject to opinion). There is a scratch on the right front side edge, a couple scratches on the front of the top liftable lid (2 of the 3 not as noticeable), some scratches on the back, and other smaller marks here and there. You may be able to match the finish with some touchup paint or stain to hide the marks. The front face on all sides of the front window is in very good condition with no obvious major marks. The ballroom scene is in tact with no obvious issues. The music box is generally clean but may need to be cleaned up a little further. The music box works sporadically but may need some attention to improve the operation. When I first tried this, the dancers would not turn. I opened the box and found that the rubber belt that turned the dancers was caught on the wheel and slightly deformed from sitting idle. Once I freed the belt up, it turned but occasionally got caught where the belt was deformed (see picture). Once it operated for a while it operated more consistently (deformation "memory" may have started to work itself out?). Also, the arm that holds the polyphon music disc down will work for a bit, then sometimes it will release, pop up, and stop playing. When the arm is holding it down, the music box plays beautifully. See the video for the pop-up issue. The part at the end may be repairable (see picture close-up), but no guarantees. I found an authorized Mr. Christmas Part Supplier on-line who may be able to provide replacement belt and parts. If you don't want to take a shot at some repairs, then you can look at this item as "display only". This music box comes with one polyphon music disc ("Skater's Waltz"). Other discs, the original box, and instructions are not included. Please check the pictures closely to see the condition of the Music Box to make sure you agree with my condition assessment.
