It was made for the gift shop of The Brooklyn Museum (TBM) in cooperation with The Metropolitan Museum of Art (MMA) from the Arthur W. Clement Collection. The original of the Parian Porcelain Pitcher was made in Bennington, Vermont Circa 1850. Parian wear was first developed in England in the early 1840s and copied in America. It features a typical American motif: naturalistic ears of corn rendered in high relief. Color: Cream-colored bisque matte exterior with a shiny high glaze on the inside.Measurements: 7" tall x 6" across from spout to handle, about a 4" opening from the handle to the spout, and 3 1/4" across the base. Capacity: 1 quart.
