Description: This is a wonderful reproduction the original 1962 London Transport poster by Warren Kenton. Greenwich. Buildings with text below. Printed by Leonard Ripley & Co Ltd, London. I believe this was one of many reproductions of original London Transport posters that were created in the early 1970's, but do not know the exact year. Measures 40 x 25 inches. The poster is in good shape for its age. It has never been displayed, so there are pinholes or tape marks. No rips or tears. There is some light ruffling towards the bottom. The poster has great bibid color and has been kept out of direct sunlight. Overall a fantastic poster that would look great backed and framed. Please see the photos for more details. I will ship the poster rolled with tracking and insurance. Here is the description at the bottom of the work; GREENWICH was early in the space business. Flamsteed House was built by Wren for the first Astronomer Royal and is now part of the National Maritime Museum. Stand in the delightful Octagon Room where great astronomers have explored the Universe, and peer at St. Paul's through the London haze. Admire Herschel's giant 20-foot reflecting telescope, and, outside in the courtyard, stand astride the Greenwich Meridian with literally a foot in each hemisphere. Open free, Mondays to Saturdays 10-6, Sundays 2.30-6. Buses 53 (Daily), 153 (Suns.) from Westminster. Underground to New Cross or New Cross Gate, then buses 53 or 153. Green Line Coaches 701, 702 from Victoria (Eccleston Bridge) to Greenwich Park. THIS IS A REPRODUCTION OF A POSTER DESIGNED FOR LONDON TRANSPORT
