Description: This is 6 inches tall, and is is an interesting piece. It is a tea cannister used by LeFevre Utile of Nantes. It was quite a prosperous company, and at the turn of the century had a Pavilion at the French Exposition of 1900. The company especially made biscuits. Their company used both Alphonse Mucha and Firmin Bouisset to illustrate their tins and created posters promoting the company, accompanied by its famous LU initials. The company survived and was bought out, eventually ending up as part of Kraft Foods. For this particular tin I could find only a label for the canister for sale, but no example of the actual complete piece. The can has various vertical creases and streaking. There is a corner missing at the bottom where the label ends. It is overall an interesting piece.
